Multiple Salvador Dali
| Surreal fragmented portrait of layered selves
2017, Spray paint and acrylic markers on 50 x 70 cm canvas
About the Artwork
This artwork explores the idea of identity as something fluid and multifaceted rather than fixed. Inspired by Salvador Dali the portrait presents multiple overlapping faces suggesting the coexistence of different roles and selves within one individual. The text in the corner questions the concept of unity asking who defines the self in the first place. The composition reflects how a person can express themselves through many disciplines and identities leaving different marks over time. The layered technique with spray paint and markers reinforces this fragmentation creating a visual echo of shifting perception and inner complexity.
